“It’s not about tweets, it’s about tickles.”
“BOND” is a slick bracelet designed by digital design company Kwamecorp, which allows it wearers to send tickles to one another from wherever they are -anywhere in the world! (Hello international couples!) If you aren’t a bracelet person, the device can also be worn as a pendant. The best part about BOND, is that it comes in pairs! So when purchasing it, you automatically have one for both you and your s/o.
BOND allows its wearers to send tickles that are 1 second to 5 seconds in length, depending on how long you touch the bond module. Each tickle flashes a different color on the recipients bracelet, depending on the length of the tickle. If you swipe across the magnetic module, it will send what Kwamecorp calls a “rainbow tickle.”
“We have an absolutely stunning app.”
The BOND module can also be paired up with its own personal app, which allows BOND owners to “leave tickles and emotions wherever they go” in a beautifully visual, almost artistic way.
Using the app, you can track your emotional “heat map” -which is a history of all the emotions and tickles you’ve sent out to your s/o or into the universe. You can even view your emotional trail against Google Maps, which can be pretty helpful if you’re trying to backtrack.
BOND can connect to any iOS or Android smartphone, via Bluetooth 4. The module’s batteries last 7 days and are low energy, while the accompanying BOND app will run on your smartphone’s background -so your phone’s battery shouldn’t suffer much when using it.
Kwamecorp has spent the last year working with manufacturing partners to make their vision for BOND a reality. They are currently running an IndieGoGo Campaign and are offering a limited number of people the opportunity to own one of the first BOND modules. The price for these special modules as pendants is $150 for a pair.
The coolest part about BOND’s IndieGoGo Campaign? Kwamecorp is responsibly sourcing the wild rubber from the Amazon to create their BOND bracelets. So going along with the theme of rainforest protection, you can actually back up their campaign by donating $5 and they in return will plant a tree in the Amazon and take a photo for you. How cool is that?
