The wiggle app is a fun tool that lets you create a lip synching video from your apple device! We love this idea because it makes lip synching to a video way way easier than anything else on the market. We also love it because it would work well for a long distance girl or gal to lip synch their favorite love song to their partner. Even if you aren’t the greatest singer, you can still use this app to send an adorable message to your partner because the music plays over your voice so no worries about bad singing!
Wiggle videos can be uploaded to instagram easily, which means you can tag your S/O when you upload it. It lets you start recording from any point in a song, you can redo the recording as many times as you want and you can even add cool filter effects over the videos to spice it up a bit. Want to see how other instagram users are using Wiggle? Check out their community of posts via #madewithwiggle.
If you checked out our list of Long distance photo taking ideas last week, you’ll have noticed idea number 16 “When Worlds Collide.” The idea is that you and your partner or friend would take photos of each of your locations and merge them together into one. That way you’d see both sides of each of your worlds merged together into one single photo.
Doing this would be kind of difficult, since there was no easy way to merge your photos together -until now! We found this amazing app called WeSnap that will make the process of taking split photos together a hundred times easier. You can share the photos taken on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or with Messages and any other app that supports photos such as WhatsApp or even Snapchat!
We would LOVE to see how you guys use this app to show how different your worlds are! If you take this challenge be sure to tag us on Instagram @ldrmagazine or on Twitter @ldr_magazine!
If you’re a comic book junkie, or if you just enjoy long distance themed comics in general you’ll be thrilled to know of the recent release of a new long distance relationship themed comic book. The plot: While stranded in an airport, Carter and Lee meet and hit it off immediately. Problem is, he lives in Columbus and she lives in Chicago. Can they manage to have a relationship separated by three hundred miles, a time zone, and the entire state of Indiana?
Long Distance was released on June 10th, 2105 and is a 4 part comic book series. It retails for $4.99 and can be found in select comic book shops. If you want to take a preview of some of the pages of the book you can do so here.
In celebration of the official release of the book, author Thom Zhaler has also started a long distance comic contest! Tweet something about the comic, along with the hashtag #longdistancecomic and he’ll enter you in a drawing for a free two-character color commission of your choice. Tweet a picture of the comic along with it, and that will count for five entries! The contest will wrap up on June 17, 2015 at noon EST.
Speaking of art commissions, couple art is another popular photo idea for the ldr community. TONS of long distance couples get couple art done together as a way to commemorate their relationship despite the distance. If you’re looking for a neat way to have you and your partner drawn together, you should definitely visit Art Corgi.
The artists on this website are awesome! There are a range of prices and art types available for getting drawn together. Definitely check this site out & when you’re done, share your custom artwork to instagram and tag @ldrmagazine so we can see the finished product!
To conclude this Weekend Faves we leave you with this adorable animation about a long distance couple’s relationship as they deal with the distance. Watch it and show some love by commenting on the video!
