Being in a long distance relationship means that there’s always that disconnect between your life and the life of your partner. You can’t share everyday moments with each other; like sipping coffee together in the early morning at Starbucks or taking a drive through the downtown district of your city or town.
We cope pretty well without having the luxury of enjoying those little things and little moments together, but what if you had the opportunity to perhaps share those little moments together in a new, modern way?
HeyDay is cool little app that we stumbled onto recently that kind of lets you do just that! HeyDay is an automatic diary, a no-work mini journal that records your life without you having to do much of anything!
The app tracks where your phone is and presents each of your days as a little map of where you’ve been. It automatically creates really nice montages of batches of photos that were taken at the same time and converts them into layouts of photos that look amazing together.
Don’t like the auto-assigned layout? You can change it at any time! Just swap out the pictures, change the order and apply different filters to the images.
In addition, the app automatically applies your photos and locations to a “timeline” style diary that you can go back and look at later. The diary even includes dialouge from you, which the app will occasionally prompt you to write in if you choose to.
So you can literally take photos throughout the day knowing that they’ll be converted into something beautiful that you can share later.
We think this app would work awesome for LDR couples, because while it is not an app that 2 people can share together it provides a cool way to share your day with each other since it’s easy to share each diary timeline by just sending your s/o a link.
Being able to see little moments in your partner’s life can really boost your day and make you both feel more connected. So consider downloading Heyday together and swaping links to share what you did today! It is available for both Android and iOS devices.
