Written by Joss Whedon and directed by Brin Hill, In Your Eyes tells the story of two people, Rebecca Porter and Dylan Kershaw, who live thousands of miles away from one another and lead very different lives.
Rebecca (Zoe Kazan) is a sheltered, quiet wife to a controlling, emotionally abusive doctor while Dylan (Michael Stahl-David) is a poor ex-con who is not sure what he wants in life.
Despite never having met, they both share a very intimate, supernatural connection to one another –the experience of being able to see, hear and feel each other’s experiences since they were children.
The film follows them as they discover what it is that connects them, how that connection has affected them throughout their lives and ultimately –we get to watch as they start to fall in love despite being thousands of miles apart. (You knew it was coming!)
An offbeat, supernatural romance with a bit of an indie feel to it, In Your Eyes debuted on Vimeo on April 20th, 2104 just a week after it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Because of the nature of its online release, it makes the perfect date night for anyone in a long distance relationship. Having watched it ourselves, we highly recommend it.
