If you are in an online relationship, waiting a long time to meet someone for the first time can prove difficult. If both you and this person are really into each other, it shouldn’t be a problem.
However, there will be good days, and there will be bad days, just like in any normal relationship. The outcome results in how you handle the bad days. If you and your partner are struggling with differences, arguing too often (at least once a week or more), if there is a lot of tension, then things may not work out.
Online LDR’s are some of the hardest, especially waiting for the first meeting, because situations can arise that your partner may not be able to meet you at the intended time and you may have to delay the meeting for a certain reason.
If this occurs too often and your partner just doesn’t seem interested in meeting you in person and constantly makes excuses not to come, chances are this is a scam and they don’t want to see you because they aren’t who they say they are, or they are simply not interested in spending the time and money to see you. However, in a real online LDR, sometimes life can get in the way, or situations can arise that can prevent you from meeting your partner when you’d wanted.
If this happens, don’t despair. If it’s meant to be, then you and your partner will meet no matter your current circumstance. It may take a bit longer than you had originally planned, but it will work.
Sometimes you may end up being out of a job and have to save up money somehow, so that could delay a visit. Or, there could be legal/personal situations that prevent them from seeing you when you’d planned for.
LDR’s can be tricky, but in the end, all the waiting and planning is worth it for when you get to look into the eyes of your partner for the first time.
